The two enjoy homemade malasadas, Ash meets Sophocles’ parents, then the two go to his lab in the backyard. Since Tapu Koko is an electric type, Sophocles invites Ash over to his house to research electric-types. Only Sophocles, the electric type guy who likes to eat, could manage to finish the stew as it is.Īfter everyone else leaves, Ash is still around trying to get a handle on Rowlet, who is in love with Bounsweet. It’s apparently some kind of special recipe from ancient Alola that her older brother sent back to her, but it must be made with yellow nectar, which is out of season right now. The gang is eating out at Mallow’s restaurant, but Mallow puts Thunderbolt in her soup for some reason and this causes everyone who eats it to be shocked.

Pikachu gets stuck at the door of the local TV station with a guard who thinks it’s too cute, and Rotom sneaks in and gets a chance to see a video shot at the Pokemon school the previous day. Pikachu follows, pulling Rotom’s wig hair at every turn.īack at the school, everyone is trying very hard to keep Kiawe from finding out about the missing Z crystal, but they are also the worst liars imaginable and Kiawe is growing suspicious, especially since Pikachu is missing. Rotom begins retracing Ash’s steps from the previous day, asking everyone around the school what they did in hopes of finding where the crystal went. After a long day of searching on both counts, Rockruff finally catches a whiff of the trio when Team Rocket scoops the three Pokemon up in a net.Ĭlever Litten saves the day by winning the Rockets over with its backstory, tricking them into thinking it wants to join, then busting out of the cage when given a chance. Meanwhile, Rockruff is now using his sense of smell to track Popplio and Rowlet.
Stoutland welcomes them, and suggests Litten help them find their trainers. Litten leads the crew under a bridge back in town, where Stoutland has since moved. Litten can’t get the ring off either, so Popplio deposits Rowlet in a balloon for easy transportation and the three head back into the city. Meowth and Mareanie are hot on their trail, but the Rocket humans are stopped by Bewear.Īs the villains catch up, they try to engage, but Litten (from earlier episodes!) steps in to save the day. The Rockets try to start a fight, but the pair make a run for it into the woods. The two ultimately crash into Team Rocket’s base, where the two are concocting some evil plot, and Rowlet gets some kind of evil ring stuck around itself. It knocks Popplio in with it, and the two zoom off to parts unknown. As Popplio makes a balloon, an errant sneeze from Bounsweet startles Rowlet, sending it flying forward right into the balloon. We’re back to talking about Lana and Popplio, the latter of which is still working on making stronger and stronger balloons.
